Bad is stronger than good.
The frank truth about the terrible things in your life is that they are far more impactful than the good.
Depressingly, by some sadistic act of nature, our negative experiences translate into more powerful and potent memories, elicit stronger emotional responses, and have a much stronger ability to inform our behaviour than positive ones. From mundane discomfort to psychologically traumatic experience, we are subject to a bias that causes negativity with stronger outcomes than its more positive counterpart. In other words, bad shit is stronger than good shit.
